DUKE ENERGY CENTER

Cincinnati’s convention center has undergone a $135 million expansion, renovation and configuration. Open since June 2006, the expansion means Cincinnati can now accommodate 75 percent of the existing convention, conference and meeting market across the United States. Convention center amenities include programmable electronic signage, state-of-the-art fiber optics, voice, data and Internet capabilities, and upgraded audio/visual systems.

Every element of the facility was designed with the meeting planner in mind and now features: more than 750,000 gross sq. ft.; the largest Grand Ballroom in the region at 40,000 sq. ft.; exhibit space that has increased to nearly 200,000 contiguous sq. ft.; a second 17,400-sq. ft. ballroom; 100,000 sq. ft. of meeting space that can be subdivided into 37 deluxe meeting breakout rooms; a new multi-level concourse; a full service banquet kitchen capable of serving 5,000 meals in a single seating; and an expanded loading dock with 17 berths and three semi-tuck portals that lead directly to the exhibition space.

Total exhibit space: 195,320 sq. ft
Largest hall: 195,320 sq. ft.
Largest ballroom: 39,470 sq. ft.
Number of meeting rooms: 37
