Vamizi Island Wellness Retreats

Castaway Chic for Six-Days in January 20 – 26

Can you imagine a spa that comprises an entire island? Vamizi Island, rising from the Indian Ocean in Northern Mozambique, is just such a place. Replete with raw, natural beauty, removed from cell phones and TV, it is a land for nurturing…where you revive, restore and rejuvenate. And leave feeling so much better about yourself.

From January 20th to 26th, 2013, Vamizi Island is making the most of its location with an exclusive Wellness Retreat for a maximum of 10 people. The six days will include yoga with renowned yoga teacher Claire Finlay twice a day and a private consultation with her; a deep sea fishing trip, a scuba dive in one of the world’s top diving places with a dedicated dive team, a treatment/massage in the privacy of your own villa, using oils from the island’s ‘natural pharmacy’; a guided conservation walk around the island; snorkeling; lagoon kayaking; and plenty of time for just relaxing. The retreat, including flight transfers, is an all-inclusive price of $5,895 per person.

This is exercise and nutrition as nature intended. The beach is your gym and the ocean your larder as you dine on fresh seafood as well as local fruits and vegetables. Your time will be spent outside at one with nature while this blissful hidden island gem works its magic over the course of the retreat…on a true African Island, full of charm and simplicity. This is true “Castaway Chic.” For further information or reservations, contact reservations@vamizi.com or visit www.vamizi.com.

About Vamizi Island:

Recently voted one of the Best Hotels in the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Africa, in Conde Nast Traveler Readers Awards, Vamizi Island is one of the world’s favorite destinations. Nestled within the Quirimbas Archipelago in Northern Mozambique, this private island retreat has just 13 impossibly romantic timber villas strung loosely along one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. This island is not about the usual five star luxury and all modern conveniences, it’s about the rarefied pleasures of exclusive island life.
