The Whiteface Lodge Introduces New Spa Menu And Celebrates With "Spa Credit" Package

New Treatments Embrace Essence of the Adirondacks -- From Abundance of Outdoor
Activities to Local Ingredients Such as Apples, Maple and Juniper

The Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid, is pleased to introduce a new spa menu for its elegant and expansive onsite 5,800-sq. ft. spa. The Spa retained several of its signature treatments, such as the "Whiteface Peak Facial" and the "Maple Butter Body Wrap," and added an exciting new array of facial, body, reflexology and massage treatments that are in sync with Adirondack related activities, such as hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, swimming and other year-round recreational fun. Several new treatments feature the revitalizing and healing properties found in apples – such pectin and other antioxidants – which are often used as skin toners and/or to balance skin PH levels.

The Lodge's guests will enjoy experiencing several of the newest services such as the "Apple Cider Masque & Massage," and the "Four Handed Massage;" the latter features two massage therapists "working in perfect unison to reduce stress, increase circulation and reduce water retention." For women seeking advanced hair care services, the Spa's new salon services offer a new Keratin Express Smoothing System, which produces silky and more manageable hair for up to six weeks.

The Lodge's Spa enthusiasts will also be delighted to learn that a new, top-tier skincare line, Naturopathica – recognized by ECOCERT, an international organization that certifies organic products – is now available. Naturopathica was featured on "Oprah" as one of "her favorite things." Founded on the premise of "A Better Beauty," Naturopathica is used in all of the Spa's facials and visitors have an opportunity to purchase one or more products onsite from its full retail line.

"One of the key objectives in enhancing and updating our spa menu was to offer a well-rounded selection of massages, facials and reflexology treatments in additional to a sophisticated selection of salon services," said Jamie Costa, spa director, the Whiteface Lodge. "We're excited for guests of the Lodge, as well as bridal parties and local Lake Placid residents, to experience our new menu and to make our Spa an enjoyable and luxurious destination."

Featured on the new menu are also treatments that can be offered in-room and others tailored for couples, kids and men so an entire family can enjoy the Lodge's Spa. More specifically, the new Spa menu is divided into the following categories, which underscore how the new services are tailored to be in tune with the surrounding Adirondack area:
  • Signature Treatments
  • Granite Mountain Body Treatments
  • Traditional Lodge Massages
  • Couple's Retreat
  • Suggested Massage Enhancements
  • Adirondack Forest Facials
  • Services that Complement a Facial or Treatment
  • Nail Treatments
  • Waxing Services
  • Hair Salon Services
  • Kid's Services
  • Day Spa Packages
Bridal parties, groups of friends and corporate groups will be pleased to know that the Spa can seamlessly design a morning, afternoon or full-day session of treatments and salon services according to interests, needs and concerns – from a facial, massage and/or body treatment to a hair styling session followed by a manicure and pedicure – all developed by trained professionals and delivered with superb service.
