Kenyan Beach Resort Offers Six Nights For The Price Of Five

Kinondo Kwetu
, a member of the C&P portfolio, a collection of small, eco-conscious Kenyan properties, is offering a six night stay for the price of five on all new bookings, valid October 10 - November 10, 2012.

Nestled on the secluded shores of the Indian Ocean, Kinondo Kwetu is a small, all-inclusive luxury resort, the only one on all of Galu Beach. It is often described as a home away from home and is run by a Swedish family related to Baron Blixen, the husband of writer Karen Blixen (Isak Dinesen) of Out of Africa fame.

Kinondo Kwetu is located at the end of a dirt road and distanced from neighbors by rocky cliffs and endless beach. For those craving to get away from the noise of everyday life, Kinondo Kwetu is a beach haven of style and serenity.

Each room and cottage has its own personalized character, dramatically decorated with African antiques and a subtle Swedish flare. The Mama Taa Villa is comprised of seven suites, including a special honeymoon suite with multiple balconies and an exquisitely large bed. There are five cottages, three are doubles, one has a double bedroom and the other has two stories which can be sold together or separately.

Kinondo Kwetu is located on what is classified as a “Kaya” area, one that is protected by the National Museum. The “Kaya” is graced with ancient graves and holy trees, many of which are sacred to the Kinondo people, who believe their ancestors live among the branches, especially in a very old Baobab tree with an open trunk. The people from Kinondo are welcome to visit Kinondo Kwetu and are allowed to hold their ceremonies at the sites of these holy trees and under the holy cliff – a truly magical experience for the guests to witness.

There are a plethora of activities for guests to partake in. From water sports like kite surfing kayaking and scuba diving to land activities like game driving, yoga, tennis, or golf, there is something for everyone. There’s even an on-site horse stable for beach or forest horseback riding.

Mid season rates start at $460 per person sharing, items included are all drinks, yoga and gym equipment, tennis, excursions to Kinondo Kwetu community projects in Kinondo village, wood fired sauna, canoeing, snorkeling equipment, one PADI diving lesson in the pool, airstrip transfers, WIFI, and limited laundry.

Please note that the above special cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers.
