NYC & Company Announces Fashion's Night Out NYC Hotel Packages Throughout September

More Than 40 Hotels to Offer Exclusive Deals in Celebration of Citywide Event
Supporting Fashion and Retail Industry

NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, recently announced more than 40 NYC hotel properties are offering Fashion’s Night Out packages during the month of September. Deals include discounted room rates, gift cards, continental breakfast, complimentary cocktails, Fashion’s Night Out clothing items and canvas tote bags. Some of the hotels participating in the City celebration include 6 Columbus, Fashion 26, Hudson New York, Paramount Hotel New York and the Mandarin Oriental, New York. In an effort to increase visitation varying special offers started September 1 and run until September 30. “Fashion and retail is part of the very fabric of New York City — supporting 175,000 jobs and pumping $10 billion into our economy annually,” said Mayor Bloomberg. “We are going to continue to help support, develop and grow the industry with programs like Fashion’s Night Out, our fashion incubator and the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. With a growing number of locations participating in Fashion’s Night Out and the largest public fashion show in city history, we are offering consumers more opportunities to see all the city’s retailers and designers have to offer and helping to strengthen our economy in these tough times.”

“We are proud to partner New York City hotels with our citywide event promoting retail and fashion and supporting local businesses,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “Both industries are vital components to the vibrancy of NYC; by merging their merits together we are able to provide a complete and ultimate experience for our visitors. The Fashion’s Night Out hotel packages also allow for travelers to take advantage of great deals over the long Labor Day weekend.”

On September 7, New York City hosted the largest public fashion show to date with more than 150 top models, showcasing seven NYC fall fashion trends selected by Vogue, and seat over 1,500 spectators. On September 10, Fashion’s Night Out — a five borough event to support the local fashion and retail industry — featured more than 955 retailers staying open late and hosting unique in-store celebrations that include customized cocktails, beauty makeover stations, games of ping-pong, celebrity appearances and musical performances. The retail and fashion industry currently supports 175,000 jobs and generates $10 billion in wages annually.
