The 11th Annual Miami Salsa Congress To Take Over Miami Beach's Historic Deauville Beach Resort August 1st - 5th, 2012
The 11th Annual Miami Salsa Congress has announced its take-over of the historic Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach for the 2012 edition of "The Ultimate Summer Salsa Congress" set for August 1st - 5th, 2012. On its 11th year, the event is internationally recognized among the top ten most popular Salsa congresses in the world and one of the largest Latin dance events of its kind on the East Coast of the United States. Over 5,000 event fans are anticipated to travel from around the world this summer for “The Miami Experience” – 5 days of non-stop Salsa featuring live concerts, international dance showcases, 30+ hours of dance workshops, spectacular evening events, beach-side pool-parties and South Beach style after-parties till 6AM – all on Miami Beach! Held every summer since 2001, the Miami Salsa Congress features a unique compilation of over 500 local and international performers including some of the biggest names in Salsa. With Plans in the works to make 2012 the best line-up yet, announcements are expected throughout April as invited artists confirm. Past headliners have included; championship dance couples and teams such as Univision's "Mira Quien Baila" competitor – Christian Santiago, ESPN's "World Salsa Championships" finalist – Jhesus Aponte, and Puerto Rico's "Salsa Open" finalist – Jean Carlos Caballero Y Su Academia Social Style; award winning dance instructors such as Eddie Torres, Jayson Molina, Andy Cruz, Billy Fajardo and Barbara Craddock; top industry DJs including David "Melao" Figueroa, Henry Knowles and Franklin Ayala; as well as, multiple GRAMMY AWARD nominees and recipients such as Marlow Rosado, Edwin Bonilla, Jose Alberto "El Canario", Herman Olivera, and Spanish Harlem Orchestra's Willy Torres.
