New CEO For Singex Group Of Companies
Aloysius Arlando Began Leading Flagship Singex Venues on April 1st Singex Group appointed Aloysius Arlando as CEO of its flagship company, Singex Venues Pte Ltd, in which role he will oversee the operations of Singex Group. Arlando, 42, assumed his post on 1 April 2010. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the tourism and MICE business, and the government sector, having built a career that spans 17 years in these areas. In particular, through his recent appointments as assistant chief executive (Business Travel & MICE) of Singapore Tourism Board (STB), and as executive director of APEC Organizing Committee, Ministry of Trade & Industry, he has been instrumental in strengthening Singapore’s MICE business and global profile. Prior to these roles, Arlando held key appointments in STB as its regional director for ASEAN markets and director of Business Travel & MICE. He also served for two-and-a-half years in the Ministry of Manpower, where he was responsible for the promotion of lifelong learning and workforce development programs. “The global MICE industry is a dynamic business that is poised for continued growth in the next decade of the 21st century. It presents prime opportunities for Singex to seize and secure its share of the business.
