First Phase Of Major Make-Over Completed At Hotel Nikko Jakarta

Hotel Nikko Jakarta
, a five-star Nikko Hotels International property in the heart of downtown Jakarta, has finished the first phase of a major two-part renovation, according to JAL Hotels Co., Ltd., the hotel’s operator. The full renovation of the Main Tower is to be finished by year-end. So far 151 rooms have been completed. After the entire renovation is completed, the hotel will offer 444 rooms in its Main Tower and Nikko Tower combined. Guests can choose from Standard, Superior or Junior Suite rooms in the newly renovated section; each with Wireless LAN and cable Internet connections, a 32-inch LCD television, a work desk and breathtaking views of Jakarta. The hotel’s fitness center and spa are also undergoing a major overhaul.

Studio and one-bedroom “Service Apartments,” designed to accommodate business people during longer stays, are a new hotel offering, available monthly or yearly. Guests in these apartments receive all the amenities of a hotel stay, including housekeeping service, breakfast and concierge assistance. In addition, they have living and dining room areas with cooking facilities, and, in the one-bedroom apartment, a washing machine in addition. In all new rooms, glass partitions separate bedroom and bathroom, providing a spacious living experience, and bathrooms offer spa-like amenities. The hotel’s restaurants include Origami Modern Japanese Cuisine; Kahyangan Shabu Shabu, with a selection of high-quality meats; and the Olive Tree coffee shop.
