Starwood Los Cabos Resorts Introduces Incentives To Bring Meetings Back To Mexico Now Through 2012

Starwood’s two premiere Los Cabos resorts have introduced several offers that provide exceptional value and are designed to encourage meeting planners to “think Los Cabos, Mexico” when planning incentive travel, meetings, conferences and special events.

“In many ways it is less expensive for meeting planners to host their events in Mexico,” said Trip Barrett, Starwood’s vice president, brand management, Latin America. “However, there is a preconception that resort meetings, particularly those outside the United States, are too costly. We want to eradicate that notion with this program and many other misconceptions about meetings in Mexico. Each of our resorts is safe, self-contained, offers a spectacular environment and facilities, and delivers top-notch service.”

At both the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf Resort & Spa and The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos, All Inclusive Meetings is available to groups with 10 rooms or more and includes deluxe accommodations for attendees; taxes, tips and service charges; private or at leisure meals; two daily coffee breaks for a half hour each and a morning coffee station; an open bar from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily; complimentary use of the resort fitness center; and complimentary WiFi Internet access for each guest room. Rates start at $260 USD per person per night and, as part of this incentive, Starwood of Mexico Resorts offer no penalty for attrition up to 30 percent 60 days prior to the meeting dates.

The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf Resort & Spa is also proud to offer 12 for 2012, which provides a 12 percent commission for planners who book groups of 35 or more rooms for a minimum of two nights each during 2012. Group attendees will receive deluxe run-of-house accommodations; private or at leisure meals; a daily coffee break; and an open bar from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Rates start as low as $165 USD per person per night, and all taxes, tips and service charges are included. In order to receive this package, groups must be booked by November 30, 2011 for travel during 2012.

In 2012, Group Concessions at The Westin Resort & Spa, Los Cabos include benefits to please everyone. Planners can receive a four percent credit to the master account for rooms and banquet services, as well as triple Starwood Preferred Planner points. Complimentary benefits include one room for every 40 rooms booked; one suite upgrade for every 25 rooms booked (up to five upgrades); one VIP welcome amenity for every 35, a 30-minute massage for every 20 paid; in-room Internet for all suites and staff; use of meeting space when an F&B function is included; a one-hour cocktail reception; a morning coffee station with the purchase of a 30-minute break; a welcome drink on arrival; and use of the health club.
