The Commemoration Continues

According to the America 250 Congressional Commission, the U.S. Semiquincentennial

commemoration period culminates on July 4, 2026, and officially

concludes December 31, 2026.

A fter the festive fireworks, after the many majestic parades, and all the celebratory pomp and circumstance surrounding
the USA's 250-year anniversary,
A mericans are taking time to remember the extraordinary contributions of our fellow countrymen and women who have brought us to this point in our history and have made us who we are.

Black America 250 is a multiyear national media initiative

spearheaded by Black Meetings & Tourism, LLC— in association with

the National Policy Alliance.

Black America 250 exists to put the African American

contribution to 250 years of this country on the permanent national archives.

In the aftermath of the nation-wide celebration what remains is an invitation to reflect on the true meaning of this moment, to move past ceremony and into reckoning.

Black America 250 is built for that moment. It is a declaration issued on behalf of 250 years of people who built the roads, cultivated the fields, composed the music, fought the wars, and produced the moral leadership that forced this democracy to live up to its own ideals. It is a campaign for the record — for every textbook that left us out, every landmark that was never marked, every contribution that was taken without credit.
