VISIT SALT LAKE’S CRYSTAL COLLEAGUE AWARD PRESENTED TO BILL KRAUSE, DIRECTOR OF VISITOR SERVICES AND BRAND ACTIVATIONS
During Visit Salt Lake's recent Year in Review & Awards Luncheon on March 21, 2024, at the Utah State Fairpark and Event Center's Grand Building, Bill Krause, VSL's director of visitor services and brand activations, was awarded the third annual Crystal Colleague Award. The Crystal Colleague of the Year program recognizes exemplary performance by a Visit Salt Lake employee. This annual award is presented to a full-time team member in recognition of and appreciation for exceptional job performance and distinguished contributions to the organization's community. Award criteria include four attributes: S.A.L.T. - service, achievement, leadership & tenacity. According to his colleagues, Bill touches every department and is always there to manage the big jobs. He cares deeply about his job, is a great leader and doesn't hesitate to take charge of any situation. He shows up early, stays late, helps set up and helps clean up. Every single time. "My work at Visit Salt Lake is deeply satisfying. It is not just a job, it's a close-knit family of proficient, considerate, and genuinely enjoyable colleagues who work on huge projects and then celebrate our big accomplishments together," said Krause. "I'm proud to part of our success and equally proud to be a part of promoting our amazing destination!" Bill's responsibilities in his role include overseeing the Visitor Services Team and Visit Salt Lake Info Center, activating at events utilizing VSL''s Airstream or Mobile Salt Cave, producing community and industry events, as well as operations and logistics for Visit Salt Lake. "Bill does everything around here from closing city streets and trucking in snow for a skijoring event downtown to managing our incredible team who welcome all visitors at our Visitor Information Center. We are so lucky to have Bill on our team," said Krista Parry, Chief Development Officer. "He is truly deserving of this award."
