The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami & The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami announce Derek Flint as Market General Manager and Tatiana Lora as Area Director of Marketing

The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami and The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami are proud to welcome back Derek Flint with the announcement of his recent appointment to Market General Manager. With 35 years of luxury hospitality experience, Derek brings a wealth of knowledge to this new role, where he will continue to elevate the hotel's guest experience from start to finish. In addition, the properties have promoted Tatiana Lora to Area Director of Marketing. Tatiana, who will be continuing her 12-year tenure with the hotels, has always been a staple in the team's growth and success and will continue to lead in her new role.

Derek began his career with The Ritz-Carlton New York, New York as a Front Desk Clerk, and continued to hold positions within the luxury hotel sector at properties such as The Four Seasons Clift Hotel, The Park Hyatt San Francisco, and The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. Derek went on to serve as The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami's General Manager from 2008-2014, where he was nominated as "Top General Manager of a Luxury Hotel/Resort Worldwide" by the Luxury Travel Advisor's Award of Excellence. He was also responsible for generating $90 million in yearly sales, earning the hotel the recognition as the most "Profitable Hotel Domestically" for The Ritz-Carlton during his time there. Most recently, Derek held the position of General Manager at The St. Regis Beijing, where he was responsible for over $27 million in yearly sales and led the hotel through a $66 million complete renovation.

Tatiana Lora

Tatiana began her career in hospitality at The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale, a property she continues to oversee, in 2008 where she served as Public Relations Manager. In 2010, she began working with The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami and The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami as well, managing marketing and public relations initiatives for both resorts inclusive of million-dollar marketing budgets. Tatiana also led in the onboarding of her counterparts to other brand properties. In these positions, some of her most notable achievements include opening Burlock Coast, one of Fort Lauderdale's most popular dining destinations located within The Ritz-Carlton and overseeing over 15 renovations and/or launches at the different properties. 

In her new role as Area Director of Marketing, Tatiana will continue to oversee media relations and PR efforts for the resort, in addition to overseeing all marketing efforts. She will be the liaison between property and corporate marketing efforts, allowing for a more robust development and execution of property-specific marking plans that support the hotel strategy and growth.
