SAN FRANCISCO TRAVEL ASSOCIATION NAMES LYNN BRUNI-PERKINS NEW EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

The San Francisco Travel Association announced that Lynn Bruni-Perkins has been promoted to Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of the organization. Prior to her appointment, Bruni-Perkins had been serving as interim Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Communications.

Bruni-Perkins has been a key part of San Francisco Travel's marketing division for more than 15 years, starting as Director of Consumer Marketing. In her new role, Bruni-Perkins' responsibilities will encompass global marketing, public and media relations, global partnerships, and arts marketing. She will also serve as the creative voice and brand steward for San Francisco Travel.

"Lynn brings a deep background in both marketing and the travel industry, making her a proven leader across branding, advertising, strategy, social media, e-commerce, direct marketing, partnerships, and more," said San Francisco Travel President and CEO Joe D'Alessandro. "She is a leader who will take our marketing to new heights and continue to hasten the recovery of tourism business to the San Francisco Bay Area."

A key piece of her new role will be to work across the organization to develop and expand integrated marketing programs that extend the destination's global reach and drive business to the region.

Bruni-Perkins has more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative marketing strategies for many top brands.Previously, she worked at Universal McCann and the former Goldberg Moser O'Neill advertising agencies and held senior marketing and membership roles at the Exploratorium Museum and Simple Star, a consumer digital product startup acquired by Sonic Solutions. Through her career, she has a proven record of leading successful brand management efforts, increasing sales, revenue and market penetration, developing partnerships and creatively positioning brands for maximum value in the marketplace.

Lynn currently serves on the U.S. Travel Association's Destinations Council Board of Advisors and earned her Certified Destination Management Executive accreditation from Destinations International in 2019. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
