Explore St. Louis has invested in comprehensive safety protocols, touch-free infrastructure, trained skilled personnel, and worked closely with infectious disease specialists, regional public health officials, the St. Louis Pandemic Taskforce and industry stakeholders to create and provide a safe meeting environment with less contact and more connection. The resulting safety protocols guide all aspects of a successful event including hotels, transportation services, restaurants and venues, and the America's Center Convention Complex.

In addition, Explore St. Louis has collaborated with and sought input from more than two dozen chefs/restaurateurs and hotel, attraction and transportation executives to create systemwide best practice protocols that help guide the complexities of hosting an event from arrival to departure. Today, every event plan is reviewed and approved by the city's public health officials.

As a result, while others shut down operations, our pandemic-practiced, expert onsite team has safely conducted more than 100 event days at America's Center and hotels throughout the region. These include everything from board meetings for 50 to sports tournaments for 6,000. Last July, The Dome at America's Center hosted the filming of the entire 12^th season of NBC's American Ninja Warrior.

From airport to America's Center, we have your safety top of mind. Our convention experience includes not only our highly trained team, but access to our GBAC STAR ™ accredited facility, EPA-approved cleaning protocols and a new StreamStage hybrid presentation theater, among other amenities. 

The coveted Global Biorisk Advisory Council's (GBAC) accreditation is the gold standard of prepared facilities. The recognition means, most importantly, that our staff is trained for outbreak and infectious disease preparation and our cleaning protocols meet industry standards for combatting biohazards and other airborne pathogens. While a detailed cleaning plan specific to each event is prepared, guests can rest assured that the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces. Our Electrostatic Sprayer technology not only disinfects the facility but increases air exchange to maximize air quality between group functions.

Additional onsite safety improvements include touchless doorways and bathroom fixtures, real-time guest counts, efficient thermal checks that have the ability to process 2,000 temperatures in 20 minutes, multiple hand washing stations and spacious accommodations.

The new StreamStage inside the Ferrara Theatre is a hybrid meeting solution with onsite and online connections. The multi-leveled theater has 1,400 seats that allow for ample social distancing for in-person viewing, while our partners at Encore and Smart City provide high-def video and virtual streaming for guests tuning in from home. Full and half day packages include a production manager, studio rental, internet bandwidth for live streaming, HD Camera, audio and studio backdrop with lighting and projection capabilities.
