ROLAND MARTIN UNFILTERED TV SHOW ADDRESSES RACISM IN ADVERTISING INDUSTRY

Black U.S. leisure travelers spent $109.4 billion on travel in 2019, according to the results from the first phase of MMGY Travel's "The Black Traveler: Insights, Opportunities & Priorities" report .  The spend was generated by 458.2 million Black U.S. traveler stays in 2019, which accounts for more than 13 percent of the U.S. leisure travel market.   Yet, based on research conducted by Black Meetings & Tourism Media, less than 4% of U.S. destinations advertise with Black-owned media.   The figure is even lower when you consider hotel brands, airlines and cruise lines.   We've been beating this drum for many years.   This video of the highly respected Roland Martin Unfiltered TV show only serves to emphasize the point we've been making about disparity that exists throughout the advertising industry.
