University of Nevada Las Vegas alumni honored by Caesars Entertainment

Caesars Entertainment , one of the most diversified casino-entertainment companies in the world, is proud to honor Stacey Purcell, assistant director of sales in Las Vegas for 30 years of service with Caesars Entertainment.

“Congratulations to Stacey. Caesars Entertainment is fortunate to have her as our biggest cheerleader for 30 years. Her enthusiasm and love of the meetings industry is infectious and has made everyone she’s been around better. Stacey is a mentor to many. We appreciate everything she has done for our company and the industry,” said Michael Massari, chief sales officer.

Stacey started her career as an administrative assistant and worked her way up the ranks to Assistant Director of Sales. Today, she manages a team of sales managers who specialize in contracting small meetings, which continue to be an important segment for Caesars Entertainment. Prior to COVID-19, small meetings represented almost 50% of meetings and events contracts.

Stacey has won numerous awards, including Caesars Entertainment’s ‘Emperor’s Club,’ the highest distinction for top performance. Purcell graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1990 with a Bachelors in Hotel Administration, and immediately began her career with Caesars Entertainment in 1991.

“Thirty years with one company isn’t common”, Purcell notes. “I wouldn’t work anywhere else except Caesars Entertainment,” she added. She is currently the President of the UNLV Alumni Association and a strong advocate for diversity in students and alumni populations. She is also the president-elect for the Las Vegas Hospitality (LVHA) Foundation.

“Stacey’s passion for our industry, company and community is inspiring,” said Lisa Messina, vice president of sales for Caesars Entertainment. “She’s a leader in every aspect of the word and provides guidance and mentorship way beyond the walls of Caesars Entertainment. We are so proud to be the benefactors of her long, celebrated career.”
