NYC & Company , the official destination marketing organization and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs of New York City, recently recognized Regional Vice President of Sales, Mid-Atlantic Trudy Singh, CMP, for being named the 2020 Charles H. Wright Supplier of the Year by the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals (NCBMP). During The Evening of Empowerment virtual event on Friday, November 20, Singh was honored by NCBMP’s Board of Directors and her fellow members as a supplier who consistently demonstrates the qualities of integrity, professionalism, and dedication in her services to the profession.

“Trudy is a gem to the industry and has been an inspiration to many of our members. She embodies the essence of our organization and is one of our greatest ambassadors. We congratulate Trudy and are proud to call her a friend of NCBMP,” said Jason Dunn, Chairman, National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals at the time the award was announced.

“I am humbled and honored by this recognition. NCBMP has been the seminal leader in championing the efforts of diverse professionals in our industry and continues to be instrumental in my career. She assists event planners of all sizes and budgets, year-round, in the Mid-Atlantic region including Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Her responsibilities also include the management of NYC & Company’s satellite office operations.

“Congratulations to Trudy for this tremendous honor. As a core member of our team for the last two decades, Trudy has been integral to our success in positioning New York City as a premier meetings and events destination for the Mid-Atlantic market, and we could not be prouder to see this well-deserved recognition by her industry peers,” said Jerry Cito, NYC & Company’s Executive Vice President, Convention Development.
