NATIONAL SALES MANAGER LACHELLE EVANS A STANDOUT AT VISIT FRISCO

The travel and tourism industry is forever changed.  Because of these changes, LaChelle Evans has new goals for the future.   “I just hope to be a part of rebuilding tourism, travel and meetings,” she says while considering the many factors that have recently influenced the industry.

LaChelle has been making things happen in hotels, convention and visitors’ bureaus and destination marketing organizations for more than 25 years.  She was part of the opening team for several Dallas/Fort Worth area hotels including Frisco’s Embassy Suites Hotel, Conference Center & Spa.

In 2007, LaChelle joined the team creating the Frisco Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, now known as Visit Frisco.   She earned a Certified Sports Events & Tourism credential and built the sports market for   Frisco, which later became known as Frisco Is Sports and most recently, Sports City, USA.   LaChelle then turned her attention to the association market and, again, put Frisco on the map for both local and national association meeting planners.   She enjoyed working with the clients in this new market and wanted to get further involved.   She became a member and volunteered with the Texas Society of Association Executives and was named to the organization’s Board of Directors in 2017.   Her term ended in 2020 and she is currently seeking new opportunities for industry involvement, considering her time on the board as a major career accomplishment along with earning her CSEE.   But, true success to LaChelle, she says; “is measured by the success of her clients.”

After 14 years in Frisco, LaChelle continues to be excited and proud to sell one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.  “Frisco is the best city to be in right now.   Our growth makes it easy to keep people interested in what we have to offer.   There’s always something new to talk about.   I love being a part of that growth and being a part of making things happen.”

When LaChelle isn’t working, she enjoys spending quality time with family and creating special moments and memories for those close to her.  She is so good at finding and connecting these emotional and special touches that her team has an expression for any time someone goes above and beyond in personalization.   Instead of saying nailed it, they have coined the term, ‘“chelled it.”
