Travel Proffessionals Of Color Set For 2014 Conference In Fort Lauderdale

Travel professionals of Color
(TPOC) will hold its 2014 Conference & Trade Show at the DoubleTree Hotel - Deerfield Beach in Boca Raton, FL April 24-27.

For 11 years, TPOC Conferences have provided opportunities for hundreds of travel professionals to get the knowledge, access and resources that are critical to staying on top.  This one-of-a-kind conference not only offers top industry speakers, a host of cutting-edge educational workshops and seminars, Travel Roundtable & Panel Discussions, and Heritage Tourism Workshops and Tours, but great opportunities to network with hundreds of "minority" travel professionals as well as earn CTA and CTC accreditations.

Need more reasons to attend?  Perhaps you are interested in becoming certified as a heritage tourism specialist or getting some sage advice at TPOC's annual Business Pavilion.  If you are still in school, TPOC's Student Chapter reps are eager for your participation.  And of course - everyone enjoys attending the much-anticipated Black Meetings & Tourism's Apex Awards Luncheon.  Stay tuned for the announcement of this year's winners.

Brenda L. Byant, the organization's current president, promises that she and her new and returning board members and committee chairs will build upon the good work done by TPOC founders Charlotte Haymore and Betty Jones, who helped mentor and nurture new leadership before stepping down from the posts they held with honor for 11 years.

This year's sponsors, industry partners and corporate members include the Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC), American Bus Association (ABA), American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), Atlanta CVB, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Black Meetings & Tourism, Carnival Cruise Lines, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Disney Destinations, International Airline Travel Agents Network (IATAN), Macy's, National Tour Association (NTA), Pathfinder's Travel Magazine, Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Salamander Hospitality, Visit Denver and Visit Florida, to name a few.
