Travel Portland Hires Community Relations Director

Tamara Kennedy-Hill Brings Years of Tourism & Meetings Experience
Following a search that attracted applicants from throughout the country, Travel Portland has hired
Tamara Kennedy-Hill as the director of Community Relations.
Kennedy-Hill is returning to Travel Portland after five years as the executive director of the Green Meetings Industry Council, where she led efforts to create a more sustainable meetings industry. Before that, she worked as a convention sales manager at Travel Portland. In her new position, Kennedy-Hill will represent the tourism industry in policy meetings and will serve as leader of both the Community Action Committee and the
Multicultural Advisory Council.
“Tamara’s strong knowledge of the meetings industry, coupled with her understanding of Portland’s political entities, positions her well for this role,” said Jeff Miller, president and CEO, Travel Portland. “We are thrilled to have Tamara back at Travel Portland and know she will be a strong advocate for the tourism industry as a whole.” Kennedy-Hill started at Travel Portland in July.
