San Bernadino 44th Annual Black History Parade Set To Go

The Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce is hosting the San Bernardino 44th Annual Black History Parade with Grand Marshall, Jim Pickens Jr., of ABC’s hit TV show Greys Anatomy. This year’s parade will be held on February 2, 2013 at the National Orange Show, 689 South E. Street, San Bernardino, CA 92408. The parade theme is the 50th year anniversary of the “I have a Dream Speech” by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We would like to honor Dr. King’s dream by celebrating his legacy in one of the longest running parades in this country. However, due to economic constraints, we are faced with a financial dilemma. That said, the Black Chamber of Commerce is soliciting the assistance of the community and community leaders for financial assistance. With your help, we can honor Dr. King’s life, legacy, and dream of unity for all groups by contributing a tax-deductible donation to help cover the cost associated with hosting the parade in San Bernardino.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech can be considered one of the greatest speeches in American history. Over 200,000 Americans gathered in Washington D.C. on August 28, 1963 to hear Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. deliver this groundbreaking speech.
