Omni Hotels & Resorts Launches Third Annual Be Collaborative Series

Luxury Hotel Brand Brings Together Thought Leaders, Meeting Planners and Travel Managers for Educational Events

Omni Hotels & Resorts recently announced the return of Be Collaborative, a professional development series offered once a year to meeting planner and travel managers across the nation. The theme of the program differs by year, yet the overall objective remains the same; provide insight on how clients and suppliers can understand and appreciate each other's perspectives and offer insight on partnering to collaboratively overcome obstacles to their mutual satisfaction. The program, conducted road-show style at various Omni hotels across the country, is a ½ day-long and centers on professional and personal development, followed by a networking cocktail hour. Each session features a notable expert speaker and professional development content presented by an industry expert.

This year's theme is revenue management, with a specific emphasis on how it affects meetings, negotiations and individual travel. The need to understand this complex topic from an organization's perspective, as well as the hotel's perspective, has become more important than ever as this is a key area in contractual negotiations. The one hour educational session features a special guest speaker who provides timely and informative information revealing the strategies behind revenue management, arming the participant with a much deeper understanding as well as equipping them with techniques on how to leverage their new found knowledge for their organization's benefit.

"We have found that Be Collaborative is a creative and productive way to engage with meeting planner and travel manager clients on a national level," said Tom Faust, vice president, sales for Omni Hotels & Resorts." In addition to being a great informational session for planners and travel buyers, it also counts toward their continuing education credit for CMP or GTP certification or recertification."

In addition to the revenue management session, keynote speaker, author and humorist Joel Zeff adds energy and some interactive fun during the revenue management portion. Zeff also presents his hilarious keynote, "Make the Right Choice." Zeff's comedic improvisational exercises illustrate his central message - that organizations and individuals should celebrate every day successes to increase collaboration, productivity, passion and innovation. While Zeff aims to make his audience laugh so hard they forget about the nuances of conference calls, "strategic deliverables," PowerPoint presentations with upside-down triangles, he makes his audience think. His presentation delivers a combination of inspiration, essential business knowledge, and significant ideas to help audience members reconnect with their own passion and success.

The Be Collaborative series kicked off at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort in October with events at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, Omni Chicago Hotel and Omni Berkshire Place in Midtown Manhattan. Subsequent locations and dates include Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin on Nov. 13; Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta on Nov. 20; Omni Parker House in Boston on Nov. 22; and the Omni San Francisco Hotel on Dec. 6.

The program has been approved by the Convention Industry Council (CIC) and Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) for continuing education credit toward CMP or GTP certification or recertification.
