Sacramento CVB President Goes Bald For Charity
Sacramento CVB President & CEO Steve Hammond, part of Team Ault Hammond, got his head shaved as part of St. Baldrick's Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids Cancer fundraiser on March 15, 2010. The team raised $5, 695.

Some 190 volunteers shaved their heads at the Sacramento event raising more than $100,000 for the St Baldrick’s Foundation. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation began as a challenge between friends and has grown into the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and family and friends give generously – worldwide. The St. Baldrick's Foundation uses the donations to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the United States Government.
