Remodeling At Grand Hyatt Of Buckhead Benefits Atlanta Habitat For Humanity Restore

Grand Hyatt Contributes to Community With Renovation

As an added benefit from the recent full guest room renovation at Grand Hyatt Atlanta, the hotel is supporting Atlanta’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore by generously donating all the furniture and fixtures from their 20th floor guest rooms. In addition Grand Hyatt Atlanta has donated the furniture from the premier 2,500-sq. ft. Presidential Suite. The Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a discount home improvement store where all proceeds support Atlanta Habitat’s mission of building affordable, green, quality houses for working families.

Grand Hyatt Atlanta’s donation included over 60 pieces of artwork, 50 chairs, 33 night stands, 33 lamps, 33 televisions, 27 beds, 20 desks and many other items such as shower curtains, fixtures and additional lighting.  ”We are very grateful for the partnership and our opportunity to contribute to such a great cause,“ said Ruth Benjamin, general manager, Grand Hyatt Atlanta. “We are also thrilled to be offering such a fantastic new product to our guests coming in from around the world.”
Customers of the ReStore are now able to purchase high quality items at a great price for a great cause while eliminating items from going to the landfill. To support Grand Hyatt Atlanta’s ongoing environmental initiatives, 29,400 linear yards of wall vinyl and 29,586 square yards of carpet and padding from the hotel have also been recycled.

“ReStore customers purchase quality items at a great price for a great cause, noted Larrie Del Martin, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity president and CEO. “Through donations like this, we’ve saved thousands of tons of materials from landfills, and our customers are continually amazed at the quality of our merchandise. We are grateful to the Grand Hyatt of Buckhead and look forward to working with them in the future.”
