To celebrate the recent debut of the 10,000-sq. ft. oceanfront ballroom,
Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is encouraging meeting attendees to check their shoes at the sand. Since groups are often behind closed doors and may not get the opportunity to fully enjoy the resort’s private beach, the newly designed
Barefoot Breaks ensures meeting goers have some fun in the sun while giving back to a good cause. Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa will donate 100% of the break’s proceeds to
Soles4Souls, a national charitable organization that provides shoes for those without proper footwear. Barefoot Breaks participants will receive Harbor Beach flip flops, sunscreen and Frisbees in a Sea Yourself tote bag, while playing beach games and sipping tropical cocktails or mocktails from a surfside station.
“We wanted to make the most of our brand new and highly envied meeting space,” said
Jay, director of sales and marketing. “The Barefoot Breaks enable attendees to enjoy the great views from the new ballroom and the beautiful surf and sand during their break, while supporting those in need.” Soles4Souls has a simple mission: To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. In addition to the Barefoot Breaks proceeds, groups can organize shoe drives prior to their meeting or bring new or gently worn shoes to donate. Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa will facilitate all additional donations on behalf of groups.
Barefoot Breaks is available for meetings from two to 2,000 attendees and rates range from $20-77 per person. * Customization of beach games is available for an additional fee. To arrange for Barefoot Breaks during a meeting or to schedule a site visit, please contact director of Event Management Brendan Mangan at Brendan.mangan@marriott.com or call the group sales office at (954) 766-6133.
