For the third consecutive year,
ITC HOTELS, in association with the
India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), was the hospitality partner for the
World Economic Forum in Davos. This year ITC Hotels again created the India Adda, café and lounge, a quintessential Indian hangout in the glass-enclosed winter garden at
Schneiders on the Promenade. The
India Adda café provides delegates with a tangible experience of India’s cultural and culinary social life.
The team of Master Chefs was led by ITC HOTELS’
Executive Chef Madhu Kishnan, and assisted by
Chef Gaurav Lavania with
Operations Managers Gautam Seth and Amandeep Kaur. Bukhara, the jewel in the culinary crown at ITC HOTELS, has been featured in past years. This year the team created a menu inspired by its’ newly opened property, the
ITC GRAND CHOLA in Chennai, featuring a diverse array of its culinary offerings ranging from the finest Indian cuisine to European and Asian delights. Locally sourced meat, fish and dairy products in combination with Indian spices and cooking techniques were used to prepare fresh, daily offerings to the delegates at the World Economic Forum.
The India Adda provides high-ranking officials from leading private sector companies, governments, non-profit organizations and academic institutions a relaxed atmosphere situated in a prominent location on the Promenade, where ideas are discussed, debated and shared.

INDIA ADDA MENU HIGHLIGHTS:
ITC Hotels is renowned for its authentic Indian cuisine and features highly acclaimed restaurants that present regional dishes in both casual and fine-dining atmospheres. At India Adda both vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections were served with classic Masala Chai and Indian coffee. The celebrated Master Chefs from the brand new ITC Grand Chola in Chennai, and the
ITC Gardenia in Bangalore, proudly presented a quintessential selection of Indian snacks and dishes popular throughout the Indian subcontinent.
Vegetarian delicacies included steamed semolina cakes filled with carrots and green peas and drizzled with melted butter; and mushrooms tossed in a curried cream mixture in baked flaky pastry. A few of the other delectable options included pan grilled patties of spiced minced lamb stuffed with cashews and raisins; spiced skewered chicken cubes, grilled to perfection and topped with toasted sesame seeds; and spiced venison cubes rolled in grilled flat flaky breads. Among the many seafood selections were grilled king fish fillets, marinated in coriander and mint, or in a chile and ginger mix; plus shrimp tossed in spicy coconut dressing and served in crisp tart shells. The India Adda also featured traditional Indian foods from ITC Hotels’ signature fine dining restaurants like Dum’phukt, Kebabs and Curries, and Dakshin.
