Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre continues to see Growth from China

Two thousand and two hundred distributors from Perfect China Co Ltd (Perfect China), a China-based health and wellness company ranked the 10th direct sales company globally, stand to attention at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s (the Centre) Plenary Hall during the Perfect China Convention 2012 held at the Centre recently. \

According to Terry Lee, executive director of Sunflower Holidays Sdn Bhd, the successful execution of last year’s event, which had 3,200 distributors in attendance, made the Centre the obvious choice for this year’s gathering.

“We were delighted to welcome back the Perfect China Convention as China is one of our key target markets for growth. We hope their return will spur other China-based companies looking at off-site locations for their meetings to consider Malaysia and the Centre as their destination of choice,” said Datuk Peter Brokenshire, general manager, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Since opening in June 2005, China companies that have held events at the Centre include China International Travel Service (CITS), Perfect China and the China-based operations of Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca which attracted over 12,300 delegates and garnered a total economic impact of approximately RM24.40 million.

Between November 2012 and March 2013, three more confirmed China-based client events are expected to see a total delegate turnout of 7,800 with an estimated 27,600 delegate days and an economic impact of RM24.86 million.
