Cincinnati USA Welcomes Southwest Airlines To Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport
|
The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport announced recently the arrival of Southwest Airlines to the airport's growing list of carriers, with nonstop daily flights to Chicago and Baltimore beginning June 4, 2017. The announcement came as the result of several civic and business leaders partnering to enhance the Cincinnati USA region with one of the nation's highest performing low-cost carriers.
"This is yet another great addition to our destination and to our region’s amazing growth story. Bringing in Southwest Airlines shows that Cincinnati USA continues to be a region on the move and will help us to better serve our leisure, business and group travel visitors," said Dan Lincoln, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau. "Many community leaders and civic organizations have worked hard over the last decade to help make this happen. We’re very excited to congratulate CVG and Southwest Airlines, and wish them the best of luck for many years of service and expansion in the Cincinnati market.”
