Ethiopian Airlines Named Most Dependable Airline In Africa


Ethiopian Airlines
, the largest and fastest-growing airline in Africa, is also the most dependable.  In its just-released list of the most dependable airlines in the world, CBS News' Money Watch ranked Ethiopian Airlines the sixth most dependable airline and Africa's most dependable. And, when it launches its Inaugural Los Angeles - Dublin - Addis Ababa flight on June 20 of this year, it will be the first African airline to serve Los Angeles.

Among the Ethiopian Airlines statistics cited by CBS News' Money Watch are its fleet size of 76, its 101 + destinations; its 71% on-time rating, and its 7-year average fleet age.

Money Watch also pointed out that Ethiopian Airlines is, "Africa's largest and most profitable airline and has been in rapid expansion mode to capture the hot Africa-Asia market. Ethiopia is building a massive airport to house the airline's home base." The country is looking to showcase its booming economy.
