Morro Bay CA To Launch New Adventure Pass May 1, 2015 Offereing Year-Round Discounts On Bicycle And Kayak Rentals, Boating, Fishing And More


Take Advantage of Discount Program during National Bike Month this May and during National Tourism Week May 2 - 11

Created to help tourists make the most of their experiences at the beach and in this active seaside fishing village located on coastal Highway 1 in Central California, the Morro Bay Adventure Pass program is designed to offer discounts on bicycle, surrey, kayaking, and stand up paddle board rentals, plus fishing and boating adventures and wine tasting at one low price. Recently named as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists, the sponsor of National Bike Month each May, Morro Bay is launching this program in to highlight the variety of outdoor activities available to tourists and to honor National Travel & Tourism Week May 2 - 11.

"We estimate Morro Bay serves over two million visitors each year, making tourism the number one economic driver in our community," says Brent Haugen, Morro Bay Tourism Bureau executive director. "We want to celebrate that and create opportunities to expand our visitor base by offering enjoyable, healthy activities in a cost effective manner."

The city of Morro Bay started out as a small commercial fishing village in the 1950s, and grew to be a tourism destination built on living an active healthy lifestyle. The Adventure Pass builds on that heritage and offers families, friends and couples access to some of the most exciting and healthful Morro Bay activities and adventures. And, it's easy to use.

Cost: The Morro Bay Adventure Pass costs $45 for an Individual, $60 per Couple, and just $90 for the entire Family. During National Tourism Week, May 2-10, 2015 receive a $15 savings on the Morro Bay Adventure Pass with a discount code.  For additional details visit www.MorroBay.org/AdventurePass.

Bike Morro Bay for National Bike Month in May
Whether planning a mountain biking vacation or California bike tour, Morro Bay is home to some of the best cycling terrain in California, from cruising the Embarcadero out to Morro Rock on a surrey bike, to the scenic Black Mountain trail in Morro Bay State Park.

California bike trails are abundant along the central coast and trail maps can be picked up at the Morro Bay Visitor Center, or downloaded from MorroBay.org.
