HOLLAND AMERICA LINE GROUP CRUISE PROGRAM HELPS HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES RAISE UP TO A MILLION DOLLARS FOR CHARITY
Qualified Organizations Receive Donations Up To $100 Per Stateroom With Group Bookings

Holland America Line's Charity Group Cruise Program is aiming to help historically Black colleges and universities raise one million dollars. For every group booking made by organizations that support HBCUs, Holland America Line will donate $50 per stateroom on seven- to 11-day cruises and $100 per stateroom on cruises 12 days or longer after the first five staterooms.

To qualify for a donation, the organization must be a nonprofit, 501(c); support education at an HBCU; and have a signed agreement with the travel agency booking the group cruise to ensure the donation goes to the stated HBCU charity organization.

"Holland America Line is a proud supporter of historically Black colleges and universities, and we're hoping that organizations that support HBCU will see the unique opportunity to travel the world while raising meaningful donations," said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. "Cruising is a fantastic way to bring like-minded people together to have fun, experience new cultures and raise some money for their favorite HBCU. Everybody wins!"

Holland America Line's fleet of 14 ships offers more than 500 cruises to more than 400 ports in 98 countries around the world. From shorter getaways to 128-day itineraries, the company's cruises visit all seven continents, with highlights including Antarctica explorations, South America circumnavigations and exotic Australia & New Zealand and Asia voyages; three annual Grand Voyages; and popular sailings to the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, Canada & New England, Europe and the Panama Canal.

Fleetwide, the ships feature innovative initiatives and a diverse range of enriching experiences focused on bringing destinations alive. The best live music at sea fills each evening at venues including Lincoln Center Stage, B.B. King's Blues Club, Rolling Stone Rock Room and Billboard Onboard. The award-winning dining experience can be savored at a variety of restaurants with menus that feature selections from Holland America Line's esteemed Culinary Council, a collection of world-famous chefs who design dishes exclusively for the cruise line.
