Meeting planners can receive a carnival reception complete with an authentic Mardi Gras float and other incentives when they book conventions by March 31, 2017 The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and its partners the Shreveport Convention Center and Hilton Hotel Shreveport launched a new " Let the Good Times and Meetings Roll" promotion to incentivize meeting and event planners to host new conventions in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana. For a limited time, meeting planners that book a meeting at the Shreveport Convention Center and room nights at the Hilton Hotel Shreveport can enjoy a free Mardi Gras-themed reception with a Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras float. The promotion also comes with lagniappe or "something extra" including five times Hilton HHonors Meeting Planner Points and a five percent discount on the master bill at each facility. Meeting planners with a qualifying convention and who complete an online request for proposal will be entered for a chance to win an Apple Watch. Contracts must be signed by March 31, 2017 in order to be eligible for the offer. Events can actualize anytime through March 31, 2020.
