BlackTraveler.net, New Travel Portal, To Be Launched At BM&T's Global Travel Pavillion

45th Annual Legislative Conference Exhibit Showcase Offers Exciting Business and Networking Opportunities

Black Traveler, LLC has created a multi-sided travel platform for Black travelers, travel agents and travel and hospitality vendors, designed to organize and develop the Black tourism industry in the U. S, Canada and around the globe.

A new website, BlackTraveler.net went live in early September - and will have its official launch at the Annual Legislative Conference of the Congressional Black Congress Exhibition Showcase in Washington, DC.   BlackTraveler.net is built on an Internet-based travel platform developed by Vancouver-based Visits & Trips Network.  The platform will enable BlackTraveler.net to take advantage of social media, crowdsourcing and social-sharing features so the new website can roll-out quickly across North America.

Information about the new service will be available at the Black Meetings & Tourism booth at the BM&T Global Travel Pavilion, a high visibility designated section of the ALC Exhibition Showcase which is devoted to domestic and international travel and tourism related businesses & services.   Guests are urged to stop by the BM&T Global Travel Pavilion, complete a short survey so they can be entered into a prize drawing, pick up a few keepsake giveaway gifts, and learn more about BlackTraveler.net.

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Incorporated (CBCF) recently announced several other engaging new features of the ALC Exhibit Showcase, Sept. 17-20, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

New to the Exhibit Showcase are culinary demonstrations with celebrity chefs Huda Clarke and Daniel Thomas; wellness stations where attendees can receive back, hand and foot massages; virtual college tours; a scavenger hunt contest; free professional headshots; and a networking happy hour. The Showcase will again offer a job fair with on-site interviews, contract procurement sessions, and free health screenings.

"Created in the spirit of economic empowerment and wealth creation, the ALC Exhibit Showcase is a valuable platform for businesses of all kinds and sizes," said A. Shuanise Washington, president and chief executive officer of the CBCF. "Entrepreneurs, professionals, and conference attendees alike will benefit from the many learning, networking and business development opportunities, and from our expanded Showcase offerings."

The following staples will return to the Exhibit Showcase:

Enterprise Pavilion: Exhibitors will present new products and provide industry updates and information for entrepreneurs.

Authors Pavilion: Prominent authors, novelists, scholars and poets will present their works and greet attendees for book signings.

Marketplace Pavilion: Artisans will offer handmade art, jewelry, and apparel for purchase.

Entry into the Exhibit Showcase is included with registration for the ALC. For more information or to register to attend the ALC, visit cbcfinc.org/alc.
