BM&T Global Travel Pavilion Back By Popular Demand

Black Meetings & Tourism is presenting its revamped Global Travel Pavilion (GTP) at this year's 45th Annual Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference (CBC ALC) to be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC September 16-19.

The BM&T Global Travel Pavilion will be a high visibility designated section of the CBC ALC Exhibition Showcase which is devoted to domestic and international travel and tourism related businesses & services.

Strategically placed at the entrance to the Showcase hall, an expected 7,000-8,000 conference registrants are expected to visit the exhibit and Pavilion.  BM&T Global Travel Pavilion vendors run the gamut from destinations like Portland Oregon to Tipharah Designs/Hospitality, which provides interior design services for hotels.

In addition to learning about domestic and international destinations, visitors to the BM&T Global Travel Pavilion will also be eligible for prizes, giveaways and special offers.  They will also experience the launch of BlackTraveler.net, the new booking portal being rolled out at the Pavilion.

"Black Meetings & Tourism successfully presented the BM&T Global Travel Pavilion for a number of years, but discontinued the event after 9/11 and the resulting downturn in travel activity," explains BM&T Associate Publisher/Editor Gloria Herbert.  "The decision was made to bring back the Global Travel Pavilion after renewed interest was expressed in the event by many of BM&T's industry partners," she adds.

All African-American members of the US Congress personally host the annual CBC ALC. The Legislative Conference is the premier gathering of African-Americans for the purpose of cultivating engaging policy discussions on issues that impact black communities around the world. This five-day conference features more than 70 policy sessions, a national town hall meeting, contract procurement fair, and numerous workshops. It is one of the largest gatherings of African-American professionals.
