TPOC NEWS BRIEFS
GOOD NEWS!
We are pleased to announce that TPOC has added another chapter: TPOC of New Orleans, where Daryl Darbon is acting president. We currently have a total of nine chapters. For those of you fortunate enough to have a local chapter, we hope you will offer your support. All of the presidents are doing a great job. YOUR chapter is only as good as YOU MAKE IT!
TPOC MIRACLE GLOBE
From the very beginning, we have felt the need to give back to others who are less fortunate or to projects that are geared toward enhancing the lives of others. With your help, we have given to Haitian Orphanage Outreach, and children/schools in villages of Anguilla, British West Indies, and Salvador, Bahia in Brazil. We have also purchased bricks, contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of the African American Library in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
This year we have decided to give our gift giving a name: TPOC's Miracle Globe. The Miracle Globe Committee has been formed, chaired by Carol Kirkland of Philadelphia, PA, a member of the Delaware Tri State TPOC chapter. It is our desire to give a financial gift to the 2008 TPOC Miracle Globe recipient. What better place to make such a contribution then the reemerging city of New Orleans. All TPOC members will be given the opportunity to share in this gift. Your donation, of any amount, will be greatly appreciated. More information on how to give will be forth coming. If any of you are interested in working on this project, please contact Ms. Kirkland at (610) 872-0877.
