Fashion Island Tree Lighting

Join Fashion Island on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 6pm for the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting hosted by Mickey Mouse & Friends from the Disneyland® Resort. Mickey Mouse and his famous pals will kick off the holiday season with yuletide cheer and holiday greetings from "The Merriest Place on Earth" with an exclusive tree lighting extravaganza. Sing along to festive wintertime tunes as Fashion Island's towering Christmas tree twinkles to life with a custom light display from Disneyland® Resort along with magical snowfall on both evenings. Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina Lighting of the Bay:

While much of the nation will be enjoying a "White Christmas," Newport Beach residents and visitors will welcome the holidays California style as Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina hosts its 23rd annual Lighting of the Bay on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 6 p.m.  Taking center stage will be Santa Claus, who will arrive not by sleigh but on a lighted paddleboard.  He will flip the switch that will illuminate 50 electric Christmas trees situated on Newport Beach's nature estuary, the Back Bay.  www.newportdunes.com

18th Annual Crystal Cove Tree Lighting & Gift Bazaar

The annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony, along with the weekend Holiday Bazaar, pays homage to Crystal Cove's rich history with retro holiday décor and a unique spin on a fun family tradition on December 6, 2014 from 9am-5:30pm. The event is complimentary and open to the general public. At sunset, the Cove's picturesque beach will be illuminated by twinkling lights and decorative ornaments on a statuesque evergreen. In addition to the tree lighting, the Crystal Cove historic district's seaside cottages will be transformed into a seasonal display of holiday lights, vintage decorations and giant candy canes. Each year, the quaint village of Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach brings the community and visitors together for a day of holiday cheer! 106thAnnual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade

Celebrate the 106th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, the nation's longest running lighted holiday boat parade, for five jam-packed nights on December 17-21, 2014. Hailed as one of the "World's Best Christmas Parades" by Conde Nast Traveler and one of  "Top Ten Christmas Happenings in the Nation" by the New York Times, Newport Harbor transforms into an illuminated wonderland. Over 100 vessels of all sizes are adorned from top to bottom with lights, decorations, moving displays, dancers, music and more! Ring of Lights

Serving as the backdrop for the hundreds of lighted boats in the parade is the annual "Ring of Lights" contest, hosted by the Commodores Club of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. Beautifully decorated bayside homes and businesses surrounding the harbor go "all out" with their own holiday spirit, featuring everything from roof-top animated scenes to dancing Christmas trees. With its own judged categories and prizes awarded, the "Ring of Lights" has become as celebrated as the boat parade itself.
