IITA Names Lisa Simon Executive Director

The International Inbound Travel Association has extended Lisa Simon's contract naming her Executive Director. Chairman Gary Schluter stated that both, the IITA Board of Directors and the association's management firm, Associations International, have been beyond impressed with Simon's leadership, forward thinking and dedication to the organization over the past six months.

Simon was the President of NTA for many years and has 30 years of combined experience in travel and association management. "Lisa is a natural fit for our association. She brings a wealth of knowledge about the tourism industry and association management. Extending her contract as Executive Director will allow IITA to continue our forward momentum in defining the worldwide standard of the U.S. inbound travel industry," said Schluter.

The first step IITA has taken since announcing their name change in February is launch a new website. The streamlined website creates easy navigation and highlights the association's authority. "We want to give our members and those looking to IITA as the leader in the inbound travel a quick way to stay up to date on what's going on in the industry. Our website is just one way to do that. The new site is clean, modern and user friendly. It reflects how we are evolving as an association and an industry" said Schluter.

The launch of the new website,  www.internationalinboundtravelassociaiton.org , is the first of many steps the organization is taking to improve their member experience and utilize the association's expertise. "We are the only association specifically advocating for the international inbound industry," added Schluter.

The International Inbound Travel Association (IITA) is a national nonprofit trade association representing  the U.S. inbound travel industry, promoting professional excellence, and creating a collaborative atmosphere for all companies and entities involved in the U.S. inbound travel industry.
