Cincinnati Launches New Streetcar System

After years of planning and anticipation, Cincinnati USA opened the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar on Sept. 9. The 3.6-mile loop connects key communities in the city's urban core, making it even easier to get around Cincinnati's compact downtown. With meeting venues, hotels and world-class culinary experiences and attractions now just a quick ride away, Cincinnati USA is continuing to establish itself as a premier event and leisure destination. Sixty-five years after the Queen City's original streetcars closed, the new system builds on Cincinnati's storied past and propels it into a modern future. The vision is to create a system that spurs development and is part of a larger multimodal transportation system that links areas outside the downtown core and throughout the larger region.
