Ernest Boger To Speak


Ernest "Ernie" Boger
, the distinguished chairman and associate professor of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hotel & Restaurant Management Department will lecture at the Charm City Cultural Heritage Tourism Symposium on Friday, November 7, 2014. His lecture is entitled "A Quartet of Millennium Trends in African American Tourism. "

Boger, a native of Tampa, Florida, is the University of South Florida's first Black graduate.  He earned the MBA from the University of North Texas, received Doctoral credits in International Management from Nova Southeastern University and earned the Doctor of Management (DMgt.) as a Sodexho USA Corporate University Fellow, via the Canadian School of Management-Revans University and International Management Centres Association (IMCA), of Buckingham, England

Dr. Boger's leadership role with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore commenced with the spring 2006 term after his many years at Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL where he headed the Department of Hospitality Management in the School of Business.
