New Meeting & Event Space Opens At Westgate Hotel In San Diego, CA
Designed by Hollander Design Group, the Westgate Hotel's new rooftop deck allows the hotel to accommodate large events for up to 340 guests. Views of the urban skyline are set apart by the rooftop's modern design, highlighted by an expansive landscape wall display created by GreenScaped Buildings. During the day, the space offers cocktail and dining services available by the touch of a poolside phone. Additional features include modern lounge furniture, a Jacuzzi, a Junior Olympic sized lap pool (heated year-round), a 1/10 Olympic running track and outdoor fitness equipment. This is the first time in 40+ years that hotel visitors are able to experience a luxurious Westgate Hotel event in a poolside setting (prior to this construction, the hotel did not offer a pool). Since 1970, the hotel's original rooftop has been the site of thousands of memorable events and has been visited by a roster of recognized guests from President Gerald Ford to actress Kate Hudson. "By day, guests can enjoy San Diego's sunshine and use the space for fitness, business or leisure," said Richard Cox, general manager at The Westgate Hotel. "By night, the skyline creates an exceptional backdrop for private parties with service and style that evokes the European spirit we are known for." In total, the Westgate Hotel offers 20,000 sq. ft. of event and meeting space, including 11 banquet rooms.
