Living Legends Awards Set For Boston In March


The Museum of African American History, Boston and Nantucket, invites you to join their gala co-chairs, board of directors, staff, and sponsors to salute extraordinary trailblazers whose remarkable accomplishments uphold the legacy of 18th and 19th century Black patriots and their colleagues who distinguished themselves on behalf of freedom and justice.  The Living Legends Awards will be held on Friday, March 7, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.


Recipients for this year's awards are Harry Belafonte, award-winning performer and humanitarian, The Honorable Margaret Burnham, the first African-American woman to serve on the Massachusetts judiciary, and The Honorable Thomas Menino, fifty-third mayor of Boston.

Co-Chairs for the event are Phillip and Cassandra Clay, The Honorable William "Mo" Cowan and Stacy Cowan, and James McCarthy and Magda Ghanma, while honorary co-chairs are The Honorable Elizabeth Warren and Bruce Mann, and The Honorable Deval Patrick and Diane Patrick.
